Recall

Recalled Toys: A Comprehensive List From 2020 To 2023

Updated on

Overview

It’s alarming that 200+ toys have been recalled in the past 10 years, with an average of 21.3 recalls announced by the CPSC (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission) per year.

Many of these toys were recalled for having small parts or sections that can break away, potentially becoming choking hazards. Toys should be safe from ingestion because, aside from choking risks, the ingested parts might be toxic or even deadly.

Other toy recalls are due to sharp parts that pose laceration hazards, potentially exploding parts that turn into fire hazards, or toxic chemical content that exceeds federal standards.

We prepared this comprehensive list of toy recalls to help you keep track of the products that are potentially dangerous to your little one.

What Happens When A Toy Is Recalled?

Depending on the reasons behind the recall, you might get a free replacement product, a full refund, or a free repair kit.

No matter why these children’s products are recalled, it’s important to stop using them immediately.

Contact the retailer or manufacturer for information on how you can process your refund, replacement, or repair kit. Their contact details are included in the recall information.

How Do You Check If A Toy Has Been Recalled?

The CPSC’s website (cpsc.gov) can provide the most reliable information about recalled products, including toys, children’s products, and other consumer items.

You can also check the toy company’s website for possible recall announcements or safety alerts.
