Mockingbird stroller recalls have been issued in 2022 and 2023 over consumer reports of cracks on the baby strollers’ frames, which can pose potential injury and fall risks. (1)

The brand issued these voluntary recalls in coordination with the CPSC (U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission).

These two models have been recalled:

  • Mockingbird Single Strollers (2023)
  • Mockingbird Single-to-Double Strollers (2023)

Mockingbird Recall 2023

 

Recall Details

Mockingbird LLC of New York voluntarily recalled 25,390 units of Mockingbird Single Strollers on March 17, 2023, due to a fall hazard. (1)(2)

According to the recall notice, the lower side of the stroller frames can crack, posing an injury and fall risk to a kid using the stroller. (1)

The voluntary recall was issued after Mockingbird received 13 consumer reports of cracking or broken frames in the single strollers. (2)

Thankfully, despite the broken strollers, no injuries have been reported. (2)

 

What Mockingbird Strollers Are Being Recalled?

The affected Mockingbird Single Strollers have frames made of aluminum, available in black or silver colors. They have black seats and are sold in different colors for the canopies: (1)(2)

  • Light blue
  • Black
  • Dark blue
  • Pink

 

These recalled strollers were sold from March 2020 through March 2023 at the following retailers: (2)

This 2023 recall is an expansion of the brand’s 2022 recall on single-to-double strollers over the same issue (see below). (1)(2)

 

How Do I Check If My Mockingbird Stroller Is Recalled?

These are the affected lot numbers for this Mockingbird Single Stroller recall: (1)(2)

  • From 18322 to 22278
  • 23174 to 23175

 

Find the white product label located near the top of the basket at the inner left side of the stroller’s frame to check the five-digit lot number.

Mockingbird will also contact all known and registered purchasers directly. (2)

 

What To Do With The Recalled Strollers?

If your stroller’s lot number matches any of the numbers on the list above, immediately stop using them. However, you don’t have to discard or return them to the company.

Instead, contact Mockingbird to receive your free frame reinforcement kit. It contains two frame clamps that you need to attach to the recalled single stroller’s sides to reinforce their frame. (2)

 

Is The Mockingbird Stroller Safe?

These recalled Mockingbird Single Strollers are unsafe without the reinforcement kit. The company advises consumers to stop using them until their free repair kit is installed. (2)

Mockingbird Recall 2022

 

Recall Details

Mockingbird Single-to-Double Strollers were recalled on November 10, 2022, over possible cracking on the lower side of the stroller frames, which can pose an injury and fall risk to kids using them. (1)(3)

This voluntary recall was issued after Mockingbird received 138 consumer reports of finding cracks in the strollers’ frames. The reports include eight injuries (such as scratches, cuts, or bruising) after the kids fell from their cracked or broken strollers. (3)

About 149,595 units of these single-to-double strollers are affected by this recall. (3)

This recall includes Mockingbird Single-to-Double Strollers with lot numbers from 20091 to 22602. (3)

What To Do With The Recalled Strollers?

Immediately stop using the affected Single-to-Double strollers until you receive the free frame reinforcement kit from Mockingbird. (3)

Once your repair kit arrives, attach the frame clamps securely to the sides of your stroller. These will reinforce the frame. (3)

 

Are These Recalled Stroller Products Still Safe To Use?

The affected strollers are unsafe to use without the reinforced frames but can be used again once you install the clamps. (1)(3)
