TOMY Boon High Chair Recall 2023
On August 31, 2023, TOMY International Inc. recalled around 83,000 units of Boon Flair and Flair Elite high chairs over fall and injury risks because the bolt securing the seat to the base can become loose. (1)(2)
TOMY issued the recall in coordination with the CPSC (US Consumer Product Safety Commission) and also with Health Canada (around 2,850 units were sold in Canada). (1)(2)
The voluntary recall was issued after TOMY received 34 reports of the high chairs separating from their base, resulting in 24 falls, including 11 injuries that involved scratches and/or bruises. (1)(2)
