Daughter of Hope Review

Daughter of Hope by Joanna Fay is the first book in The Siaris Quartet. To date Fay has published two books of the planned four. I’ll admit I found the first few pages a little slow but I am very glad that I continued with it. Around the second chapter the book picked up and I really enjoyed it. The author did a great job of breathing life into these characters. Before long I found myself quite invested and unable to put the book down. The story is engaging and fantastic without being to contrived.

As this book is setting the stage for a series there is quite a great deal of background and exposition to get through. Fay sets the stage seamlessly and crafts a world that I was eager to return to each time I sat down to continue reading. If you like the fantasy genre, as I do, then you are sure to find this book intriguing.

Just a little note about the content. I would not recommend this for young adult readers as there is some graphic content. It’s not spelled out entirely but it is more than suggested. If you are contemplating this as a new series for your teenager I suggest you give it a thorough read through on your own first.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
