We wanted this as a back up for our newborn. He was over a week old before we gave it to him. I wanted a back-up for emergencies. When you have a breastfed baby a lot of formulas upset their little tummies. When I quit breastfeeding my older children I had to get sensitive formula for them to switch to. This worked perfect for our little one week old. He had very little spit up as a result of drinking the formula. When you breastfeed, you have little to no spit up at all. This formula had minimal, and was expected. 
We bought a breast pump that quit working after the first use, so when I had to leave the baby alone at home with his daddy for an hour, his only choice was this formula. I must say, this was a very good choice. It took a few minutes to get him to take it. After he started to drink, he finished most of it pretty quickly. He burped twice, really loud. he did spit up some, but, not a whole lot. 
We have began using this with a little cereal to fill our sons belly, because he eats every 30 minutes. This has been a life savor for me. He is sleeping longer and seems to have a full tummy for longer. 
I do recommend this formula for breastfed babies. Natural milk is best for sensitive stomach and gassy babies. But, it is very nice to have an emergency back-up. This makes an excellent back-up.

Great product, foil a bit hard to get all off, sharp edges. Busy with twins and on the go, good packaging otherwise, easy on their very sensitive tummies!

Similac is a very well known product and seems to be very good for her. The thing that I most liked about it is, it is NON GMO!!! It opens enough that it is NOT a struggle to get the formula out. We came up with an easy idea for on the go making bottles which was a divided container with the proper amount of formula and of course bottled water. Similac Sensitive OptiGRO Non-GMO MilkBased Powder

The Similac Sensitive Powder formula comes in a neat little container that is easy to store and easy to take on the go since it has a little scoop in the lid to measure out the right amount easily. You add one scoop for every two ounces of water so it makes it easy to add warm and cold to get just the right temperature without having to heat the bottles. I like that you can make the formula ahead and store it in the fridge or just make the bottles as you need them and the formula will keep for a month in the closed container.

I love similac brand anyway, my son is four months old. The Similac Sensitive is far superior to the Advanced, because it seems to give my son less gas. He is very gassy on the other kind. This particular variety, I love the extra vitamins and minerals, it's reassuring to me that he is getting the nutrients he needs to grow and develop. It's also very reassuring that this product is Non-GMO. I love that you don't have to worry about growth hormones, and my son seems to like the taste.

I got this Similac Sensitive OptiGRO Non-GMO Milk based formula to give to my niece while I am babysitting her as this is the only formula she can tolerate due to a lactose sensitivity and my sister is struggling right now in between jobs so I know she will appreciate the extra help. I watch my niece during the day starting next week so my sister will appreciate not having to worry about bringing formula when she drops her off. I will probably continue to purchase formula for her while I babysit until my sister gets on her feet again as I have been there and I know how hard it can be in between jobs not to mention she is a single mom. My sister tried many formulas with my niece and non of them worked until she tried this similac sensitive and the change for my niece was like night and day she was so fussy all the time and almost inconsolable until she was put on this formula she is no much happier and way less fussy now. I love that this formula has iron and that the ingredients are not genetically engineered. This formula also has the OptiGRO which it says is an exclusive blend of brain & eye nourishing nutrients for baby's development. This formula is stage 1 and should be used from birth to 12 months. My niece is currently 2 months old so she will be on this formula for a while yet. If you are experiencing gas and fussiness with your little one and suspect a lactose sensitivity I would highly recommend giving this formula a try as it truly works and similac is a brand you can trust.
