Blogging is a lot of fun and can be very rewarding with a little effort. Once you’ve figured out what your blog will be about and set it all up, you need to treat it like a job if you want to see a return on your investment. At first I was a little overwhelmed when I tried to figure out how to grow my site. I’ve been writing for a year but just began sharing it recently. I sat down and made a list of everything I needed to accomplish each day, week, and month. Here’s my daily checklist:

    1. Write
      • Publish something on your blog
        • write something new
        • polish up an old draft
        • if all else fails just look around your home for a product you like (or really dislike) and write a review about it
      • Share it on Facebook
      • Tweet it
      • Share a picture of it on InstaGram
      • Post a tip about it on Sverve
      • Add it to BlogFrogs
      • Schedule several other Facebook posts for the day (links, pictures, and/or quotes)
      • Finally, draft something for your blog (some days you’ll have writers block – writing an extra draft is saving up for a rainy day)
    2. Share
      • Find some interesting posts by others on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, InstaGram, Google+, and anywhere else you regularly visit and share them with your followers.
    3. Engage
      • Try to reply to every comment on your blog, Facebook ,Twitter. etc.
      • Leave a comment at each of the blogs you follow (especially those that use CommentLuv)
      • Mention or reply to a few people on Twitter with something they might like
      • Give +Klout to someone you find interesting
      • Like some tips on Sverve
    4. Roll the Dice
      • Enter a few contests (especially those that give points for comments and use CommentLuv)
      • Monitor the progress of your giveaways
    5. Repeat

So there you have my work day. I do this at least once on any day I work. If I can, I’ll work the whole list multiple times a day. Is there something that works for you that I missed? What would you add to this list?
